Horizon Mesquite runs a pre-launch website. Its only purpose is to present the brand and to let you join a waitlist. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you give us, and, where present, the page you signed up from and any campaign tags in the link you followed. We do not ask for your name, your address, or any payment detail, because there is nothing to buy yet.

When you browse the site, we may collect basic, aggregated analytics: which pages are visited, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and which kind of device was used. This is described further in our Cookies page.

Why we collect it

The email address is used for one thing: to write to you when the first roast is ready to ship, and, between now and then, only when there is something worth saying. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone outside the services described below. Analytics is used to understand, in aggregate, how the site is read, so we can make it better.

Who processes it

Waitlist email addresses are stored and managed by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), our email provider, acting on our instructions. Analytics, where enabled, is provided by Google Analytics. Each holds the data only to provide its service to us. We do not combine these sources to build a profile of you.

Single opt-in

The waitlist uses single opt-in: you are added the moment you submit the form, without a second confirmation email. Every message we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from the list.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the waitlist has served its purpose and is retired, whichever comes first. Aggregated analytics is retained only as long as it is useful.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Write to hello@horizonmesquite.com and we will act on it.
